A perspective on Riding the Wave
Sometimes writing hits differently when it’s poetry!
Writing poetry might just be the exact outlet your brain needs to function its best & healthiest, in return, providing greater space for joyfully connecting with self, God, & others.
“God would you give me spiritual vision to see the mission of what you’re calling me to
not gonna lie, this is a trial sometimes I don’t know if I can do
But in you, I am strengthened, in you, you are my source
you revive me, my capacity is lengthened
your genuine grace I see
I can do days on days of this
Bring it on if that’s what it takes
As long as I have you to show me new ways
To move, groove, and ride the wave
Trial me all day, I’m not gonna cave
Cuz your love sustains
Even adds new membranes
In ways I need to succeed
In this mission, vision, & reality I think you gave
& if it’s true, I’ve got no better choice
Than to ride the wave with you
I’m finally surfin with you
Surfin on your peace
Surfin on your joy
Surfin on your love
May it be so for others, too”
